The Annual Giving Fund supports day-to-day operations at the Museum. Contributions to this fund are vitally important to help the Museum cover its general operating expenses each year. It helps the Museum continue to:
- Reach thousands of children through outstanding educational programs
- Preserve the Museum’s stellar permanent collection of over 4,600 works of art
- Bring incredible world-class traveling exhibitions to our community
Gifts to the Annual Giving Fund are welcomed in any amount and are tax deductible. Donors to the fund are recognized annually in the Mosaic, the Museum’s quarterly membership publication.
Matching Gifts:
Many companies offer matching gift programs for charitable contributions made by their employees, which could double your gift to the Museum. Please contact your employer’s Human Resources Department for information.
Tax Benefits for Seniors:
The IRA Charitable Rollover Returns
Congress has extended the provision in the Pension Protection Act of 2006 enable donors to make outright gifts to charitable organizations from their IRA’s. In 2008 and 2009, individuals 70-1/2 or older are able to transfer up to $100,000 each year from IRA’s as gifts to charity. IRA transfers under this provision count toward minimum annual distributions and are not subject to income tax.
